The NSI through the Regulatory and Consumer Protection department in collaboration with the University of Stellenbosch; Graduate Business School (USB) carried out a six-day New Managers’ Development Programme, this is a programme under the University’s Executive Development Programme.
The aim of the New Managers' Development Programme is to enhance the skills and competencies of the individual who, for the first time, has the responsibility to manage other people. It centers around building of leadership and management skills, complemented by some basic functional skills. This programme helps participants gain the confidence and capabilities to respond effectively to current and future business challenges as newly appointed managers.

The six-day programme which ended on Saturday, 16 April, focused on Financial Management, Operations and Project Management, Leadership and Managerial roles as well as written and verbal communications. Managers are expected to apply their learning through the submissions of assignments related to the course content and a group project that will be presented to Senior Management.
