The Namibian Standards Institution (NSI) is proud to resuscitate the celebration of National Quality Awards Competition which last took place in October 2018. The National Quality Awards programme is a brainchild of the Cabinet approved National Quality Policy document of 1 June 1999 as reviewed and approved by Cabinet in 2019 for a period of 2020-2025.
The National Quality Awards programme is first and foremost part of the Namibian government’s relentless efforts to establish, develop and enhance a strong and fully functional national quality infrastructure regime. It is also an integral part of the national strategic intent of fostering the national quality culture. The winners of the National SADC awards categories will be the official representatives of Namibia at the annual SADC awards event.
The aim of the quality awards programme is to recognize and appreciate organizations, enterprises and individuals who perform excellently on quality assurance. It will also honour those who contribute to quality advancement in all sectors of the Namibian socio-economy, by having implemented procedures, processes, measurements and quality control and assurance systems that are in line with national, regional and international standards.
